Compatibility info fo first time build

I am planning my first build I have researched several motherboards and cpu's and the asus p8z77-v lx motherboard and the intel i5-3570k keeps calling to me as my choice for my first build. I have read the owners manuel for memory and searched asus website for compatible memory. I have found the very confusing as the two different resources have wo different listings. I would like to start with two sticks of 8 to start then mayb add two more later. Can anyone give me some advice on which would be compatible?

Yea that is what I was looking at to start with but what make and model? Is all memory compatible and supported? I understand the 240 pin and 1.5v and 1600mhz ram but the motherboard manual states that only certain ones are supported and the website states different ones.
