I bought a new Hard Drive seagate 1tb, and i installed it into my computer properly, i inserted a windows 7 disk to install windows 7 on it and it always says this messege:

"reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key"

and it stacks when i press enter..i had cd/rom as a first boot priority

So the thing what i did is, i connected both of my Hard drives old and new and booted it up and i didint see my 1tb harddrive in computer section, i went into disk management and i formated my 1 tb hard drive and it showed my 1tb in the computer window, so i installed windows 7 from the desktop into the 1tb hard drive..

i got everything installed and running on my new hardrive.. but the thing is that when i unplug my old hard drive and just let the new hard drive boot up, it still tells me the same messege: "reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key"

idk what is wrong with this, i think the new hard drive doesnt have some kinda file that the old one has..

Solution
Windows installed the MBR to the old drive because it was seen as C: drive. Take the old drive out and install just the new drive. Be sure the BIOS is seeing the new drive. If so, try to install windows again.
