screen artifacts with new motherboard/cpu

Hi, I recently got a sabertooth z87 mobo and a i5 4670k cpu. When I got it all together and started running benchmarks it started showing major screen artifacts until eventual crash. I reseated the card and it worked fine for ~24 hours, then the problem came back while in firefox. Reseated the card again but blew out the pcie slot and gpu with air first and again, worked for about 24 hours before crapping out. I suspected the gpu so I put it in another system and it has been working fine. Would this be a problem with my motherboard or cpu? Maybe a setting in the bios that is causing it? The gpu is a msi cyclone r6850

I have tried everything I know of, I have spent literally 10 or more hours googling trying to find out whats wrong, and I cant find anything. I am so frustrated, I just spent so much money on this shit and I cant even get it towork correctly. If anyone here can help me get this sorted out I can send you like 5 or 10 bucks through paypal because Its gotten to the point where when I wake up I cant enjoy my day because Im constantly thinking about this $1000 pc I just bought not working.
