Hello, I'm looking for a good (LED) monitor at 1080x1920 resolution. If anyone can recommend me one (preferably Acer or Samsung), that would be great.

Also, I've heard that having this sort of light around the back perimeter of your monitor will lessen eye tiredness? Does anyone know if this is true?

Solution
I don't know about eye tiredness, but light bleeding past the edges is a sign of a bad monitor. Someone may just be trying to justify his bad display.

You'll have to determine what screen size is OK for you, and what inputs you need; DVI, HDMI, VGA...

Remind me not to buy from Ikea... lol
I would agree with the rest; Asus. The largest screen size you can afford.

I love Asus' products, and you can tell the monitor is quality, it doesn't flop around and shake when you're desk moves at all.
Not trying to be bias, but always a good time with Asus (not just monitors) as their customer service is stellar.

If you think Asus is so good, then would you recommend their GPUs? I'm considering to get an EVGA 770, but since you brought this up, I was wondering if you have tried Asus' version of the 770?
