i switched cases recently, and i am having problems with my graphics card. before i switched the Graphics card i was pushing 60+ in any game i was playing. Now i am getting 1-5 and i switched slots and now i am getting 30-40 but then it drops to 1-5 very 5 seconds.

Processor:3570k 3.40ghz
Ram: 8gb
Windows 7
Video Card: Radeon 7850
Hard drives stayed the same.
600 watt powersupply
The cases were the same just a different color.
Motherboard: ASRock z77 pro 3

Solution
Don't put your card in the bottom slot. It is only x4 electrically. The bandwidth is too low to get the max out of the card.

Depending on the game, settings, and resolution 30-40 doesn't sound bad with the HD 7850. Sudden drops in FPS may be caused by other issues. Do you have a lot of junk running in the background? How many items are checked in System Configuration/Statup? Anything in the Start/Startup folder?

Run CCleaner and do the Clean and Registry both to clean out junk files, registry errors, and other resource wasting carp.

before i removed everything and switched cases i was getting 60 fps on everything. once i put everything in the new case then i got problems with FPS and lag. my resolution stays the same, and all stayed at high settings, i lowered the settings and i get the same thing... it trys for 60 fps but then drops to 13-15 now. Any other suggestions?

I am playing Starcraft 2 and using that as my test. i also tested it out on GTA IV and i got the same results.

Also i only tested the bottom slot to see if i would get better results which i didn't. because of the x4 thing i understand that, but now i put it back up top and i got better FPS and everything, but its not back to normal because the lag and the frame drops are still there.
