Hello everyone, Im new here and I just have a simple question. First of all Im relatively new to PC gaming and Im going to purchase my new PC soon. The question is, would a AMD A8-5600K ( Quad Core ) bottleneck a Gtx 760?

Solution
Look just overclock ur cpu to 4.4 using a hyper 212 evo and it would not bottlenect a gtx 760
This a good cpu with 4 piledriver cores and u should just disable the integrated graphics to achieve stability in the o.c.

There are many people who ask Q's about 'bottlenecking', without knowing what it means. It means the cpu isnt fast enough to run a game as fast as the graphics card can. It doesnt mean the cpu will hold up the card in general. Some cpu intensive games (3 or 4 new ones) may tax your cpu to the max, but most wont. If you want a 760, get one. It will outperform any card below it in your system, except it will only equal them in certain games at hi res. If you plan on upgrading cpu later, beter to spend a little more now than fart about trying to sell an old card and buy a new one. Buy what you want, first time.

If you buy a discrete gpu, you don't need an APU by AMD, you need to look at their FX line of chips along with an AM3+ socket mobo. For the same price range, I would recommend an FX-6300. It adds 2 cores, and L3 cache, but you lose the igpu, but you already have a GTX 760. APUs (A series) are made for budget gamers.
