First off, here are my specs.

i5 2500k 3.3 GHz
GTX 560 ti 1gb SLI
2x 1tb Seagate HDD
8gb RAM (Good ram, cant remember exact details)
1920x1080 Monitor

I would consider it a good build considering it cost close to $1200. Certain games I can run just fine. (Eg. Team Fortress 2, Minecraft, All the Call of Duty's) but other games my pc just shits the bed. (Arma 2 & 3, BF3, Skyrim, Planetside 2). I have updated all my drivers recently. All the games listed above the Auto-Detect suggests I use high-very high graphic settings, but this is my average fps:

(All numbers below are the fps count). (Resolution is at 1920x1080p)

Arma 2: 25 in Rural Area 10-15 in Cities/Populated Areas. Low Graphics
Arma 3: 50 on High Singleplayer. 10-15 Multiplayer. Low Graphics
BF3: 30-40 on Low. Spikes down to 20 at intense times.
Skyrim: 30 on High, 20 on Low. Does not change.
Planetside 2: Solid 20 on low everywhere.

Minecraft: 60 Fast & Far. (Would expect higher, friend on integrated gets more.)
Call of Duty: 60 solid on high. (All of them.)
Team Fortress: Capped on High
BioShock Infinite: Capped on High
Dishonored: Capped on High
Fallout: Capped on High (3 & New Vegas)

I am very confused here as I can run certain games on max and cap the fps, but games like Arma 2 and Planetside 2 where i've seen people on laptops get more then me, I have very little. As I said, I have updated all my drivers recently and have no clue as to what to do now. This is a custom build pc if that changes anything. All help is appreciated. Thank you.

Try disabling SLI. Some games simply refuse to run well while running SLI.

I know for Crossfire you're able to enable/disable a card through software, hopefully with SLI it will be the same. Disable SLI to increase FPS on games where you are getting lower FPS, and re-enable it on games you know it runs smoothly on.

Try this out and post results, I'm interested

Alright, I'll give it a shot. No idea if it will work or not though. How do I know what games are SLI capable?

Clean up your o/s;
Do windows updates. run your anti virus sweep. Download and run ccleaner, all options.
Defrag your hard drive.
Defrag the drive again ( you will be surprised).
Then turn off your security software and try your games again.
Most people lose the basics with expensive h/ware, but windows runs shite whem cluttered up.

It should work, keep us posted. I think the only way to tell if games will run well in SLI is to test them yourself.
