Any game that I play about 20-30mins it says "(program).exe has stopped working, windows is trying to find a solution.".

I've recently did a fresh install of windows 7 x64, I have the latest ATI 7800 Series driver 13.4, latest directx update and .net framework.

Games that I use are Borderlands 2, Chivalry, League of Legends, Saints Row The Third, Guild Wars & Rogue Legacy.

This does not happen to any of my other programs, for example I can surf the internet and google chrome never crashes. My games are launched via Steam except League of Legends. With all my steam games I have checked the file integrity of each game cache as well.

Help? Please and thank you.

A quick run down; ten years ago, ram companies advised buying kits of matched ram.
Technology moved on, quality increased, it became rare for odd sticks not to work up to 2 gig .
Now, we are upto 32 gig, you need to buy a kit for anything over 2 gig, because the memory is speed binned more acurately when its made.
The timings sets must match. You might get lucky, but for ddr 3 you need to buy a matched kit to be sure you wont have problems.
At small volumes you might get lucky, but at 2x2 gig, you didnt. Adding different size sticks makes this worse.
Here endeth the sermon.
Take out ye corsair sticks and flog em to some sucker..

I updated with my comp specs and more details on my initial post. The video is only about a year or so old I believe. My RAM sticks consists of 2 pairs of Corsair 2GB and 2 pairs of Crucial Ballistix 4GB. I can't narrow down to what's causing the problem.

I have had this issue as well when I was only using 4.0GB from Corsair. I added 8.0GB because I thought may have solved the issue but still occuring.

Trying it out now. As I mentioned I have had the same exact issue before I added the ram. I also have a friend who's running a 12GB ram setup with different pair brands and has never had any problems like mine, so I ruled out the ram being a problem.

The ram you already had WAS the issue. You didnt say if it was a kit, or you 'collected' it?

Try reseating the CPU. I unknowingly bumped the heatsink on my CPU which caused a similar problem. It wedged the CPU into the socket placing too much pressure on the CPU's memory controller which resulted in memory errors.

It was wedged in so good that I had to work the socket arm back and forth gently for 2 minutes before it released. After reseating it, adding new thermal paste I have had zero issues for 3 months now. Where as before it would consistently crash with every game I played.

Verily it is said virtue is its own reward.
But bollocks to that, if your ever in london you can fill me chalice with
kronenbourg 1664!
Throw off ye ram size penis extension shackles, for 8 is mighty and no game needs more unless played by a weener.
Thanks for closing the post with a vote,.
(and dont sell the corsair as a pair)

You were lucky not to have any permanent damage. in fact, I would be surprised if that doesnt bite you in the butt later.
Hope not tho; We are all gamers after all.
