Just had one of my HD 5770's die on me. Instead of trying to find another one to run in Crossfire I figured a substantial upgrade to just a single card would be feasible and beneficial.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121363 - the current card I am using.

I'd like to say that I ABSOLUTELY LOVED these cards. They've been through a lot and never let me down in any gaming situation yet, giving me 60+ fps in a lot of MMO's on high settings. Im predominently going to be playing FFXIV a realm reborn as well, so I need something just as good; If not way better.

my current setup- (updated about 11 months ago, minus the gpu and PSU)

  • ■ Mobo - ASUS SABERTOOTH Z77 LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI
    ■ CPU -Intel Core i5-3570K Ivy Bridge 3.4GHz (3.8GHz Turbo) LGA 1155 77W Quad-Core
    ■ RAM - G.SKILL Sniper Series 16GB (4 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM
    ■ NZXT Phantom PHAN-001WT White Steel / Plastic Enthusiast ATX Full Tower
    ■ PSU - Rosewill Xtreme Series RX750-D-B 750W

I don't mind switching to an Nvidia card, nor do I mind going slightly over budget (50-75$ of play room).

Any advice and considerations you all have are greatly appreciated and ill look into! Thanks a ton in advance!

Get GTX 760 its for $240 , if you can pay the extra $40

it is worth getting and the best in this price range . and you will have PhysX which is wonderful.

Bad advice !!!!

GTX 660 is not worth it at all today .

and the GTX 660 ti is close price of GTX760

it is an old 192 bit VS 256bit GTX 760

Thanks everyone for the advice! it seems unanimous; GTX 760. As I said, I've got wiggle room for 50-60$ more.

One more question that might seem kind of stupid. Which manufacture would you suggest? I havnt had any trouble with ASUS what so ever, but me and EVGA had a few bad run ins (purchased a GTX 560 TI and had to RMA the card 3 times due to it being DOA). I know its 99% random, but I really dont wanna do a huge RMA dance again. right now im split between ASUS, MSI, or trying my luck with EVGA.

Whats everyones thoughts?

Thanks again!
