Hi, im having this problem that's been doing my head in for a while now,
I had a GeForce 690 on water I changed the coolant out and was changing the pump to a better one, I jump started the psu to check for leaks and the psu went bang, it was a corsair 850, I purchased a new ax1200 had everything ready to go fired it up and my gpu was getting no signal, I thought I fried the gpu I found a few tiny drops of water on the inside of the gpu block when I dismantled it, so I thought id use the time to save for a 780 sli rig, iv just finished saving up recived my gpus today pluged them in with the coolers on to test them same thing no gpu signal, I tried 3 other pcie slots still no signal, I have the 6pin pcie and 8pin pcie installed, if I use the hdmi on the mobo it works I go into bios it says the pcie slot is running at 0x but doesn't say not detected, if im using hdmi my pc will boot and work fine so I cant understand if the psu is faulty wouldn't the pc have a hard time running everything else?, its just the gpu that doesn't work, I don't have the option to try another psu unless I go and buy the same one which I don't have money for atm, tried everything I can think of reset the cmos nothing, disabled onboard gpu nothing, different pcie slots nothing. ill list my specs if anyone can helo it would be appreciated, all I can think of is the psu us damged.
thank you very much.

I've built a lot of computers with a lot of different motherboards, and in my experience you usually can't boot with the integrated graphics by default, you need to select it as your primary graphics unit in BIOS. That would effectively cut off your PCIe lane.

Assuming this is the situation at hand, you should be able to find such an option and revert it to use your PCIe as video output.

Hope this helps, get back to me if not.
