Im soon to upgrade from XP pro and dreading the thought of windows media player getting onto my system.
Is it at all possible to install 7 Prem without WMP

Solution
unless you edit the iso and remove the windows media player program and then install it, there's no way to select to not install it
there's nothing wrong with windows media player on windows 7 thought i find it to work okay for my needs

WMP is not the same crap it was 10 years ago. It's actually pretty good in Windows 7. I hardly ever use anything else except VLC in the odd occasion when a file is broken or not supported by WMP.

Just prefer winamp 5.x and Divx for movies , WMP to me is a waste of 0"s and 1"s . I have vista on my notebook and it is forever rebooting <Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service Configuration>.
so I'd rather not ever start with it , the same with anything to do with the internet side (antivirus, update software etc) as my Desk System is permanently Off Grid
