Hi guys,

Computer shut itself off about an hour ago while playing a game and wont turn back on.

After removing all of my components (Gfx Card, Hard Drives, RAM, DVD-ROM and external cables such as audio, ethernet and whatnot) it still wont budge. I'm getting a green light on the motherboard and occasionally, the fan on the CPU will twitch for about half a second when I press the power button.

My setup:

700W PSU (http://www.compucase-hec.co.uk/psu_arctic_power_500-600-700.htm)
i3 processor (Can't remember speed off the top of my head)
ASUS P8B75 motherboard (Literally brand new)
4GB 1600MHz Corsair RAM (One stick)
3 500GB Hitachi HD's
560 Ti gfx card.
Basic DVD-ROM

-----

Like I said, happened about an hour ago and after removing all these components (Even CPU at one point) nothing happens. I've tried different appliances in my wall socket and they all work fine. The cable to my monitor (Which stayed on after my computer turned off) also wont boot the computer.

I want confirmation before I buy a new PSU, especially as I'm not 100% convinced it's it.

Anyone got any suggestions?

Welcome to Tom's!
The symptoms you describe indicate some kind of power problem. And HEC is not the most admired brand of PSU maker. Short of being able to put a multimeter on it, That's about all we can do over the internet.:D

If you do get a new PSU, I'd suggest something from a quality brand, like Corsair, seasonic, Antec, PCP&C, XFX, or Enermax. A 650-750watt PSU from one of them will be ample to power your rig.

Good Luck!
