I'm currently a DirecTV customer (that may or may not be relevant here) and want to know what the best way to catch up on a TV series (past season and current season) would be. I believe I have a couple of choices:

1) DirecTV OnDemand
2) Netflix
3) [other options I'm not familiar with at the moment]

I watch a handful of shows (Boardwalk Empire, Game of Thrones, Magic City, to name a few) - what's the best (easiest and cheapest I suppose) way to be able to watch these episodes at my leisure? Is the OnDemand option DirecTV offers worth it?

Thanks in advance!

As long as you're a subscriber to HBO you can access HBOGO.COM. There you can watch every episode of every series all the way back to the Sopranos for free. I believe Showtime has a similar facility. There are some set top boxes that will stream these to your TV.

Okay, yeah, looks like HBOGo and Showtime Anytime are the two options I have there, which work at the moment because I'm currently getting both thru DirecTV.

I suppose I have two follow-up questions at the moment:

1) Is there a cheaper road to go (i.e. if I cancel the movie/premium package on DirecTV and opt for the DirecTV OnDemand or Netflix, etc?)
2) What would be the easiest way to get this to play on my TV? What boxes are we talking about?

Thanks again for the reply!
