Hey guys,

I'm building a new pc based on a i5 cpu and a H77/Z77 motherboard.

I have to choose the memory, which one is better:

Crucial Ballistix Tactical, 2x4GB, 1600MHz CL8-8-8-24, 1.5V

or

Kingston HyperX Predator, 2X4GB, 2400MHz (XMP), CL11-13-13, 1.65V

Thanks for the help... :)

Performance wise, will be very similar, though you'll miss out on the wider bandwidth of the 2400 set if you're working with memory centric apps like video, images, CAD, GIS, etc or using apps that take in large data sets...

Performance wise the two follow the step progression of 1600/8, 1866/9, 2133/10, 2400/11 so if they were 2400/10 you see more of a performance boost if it were 2400/10 sticks like the GSkill Tridents/Ripjaws etc
