Computer restarting randomly

Hello.
I have this homebuilt system which I've been using for like 4 years.Recently, the computer started rebooting itself with no warnings and no error messages afterwards. (besides the usual Windows screen when the computer is not turned off properly)
There is no regular interval between reboots, and it does not occur while doing a certain thing.I can play for hours and not encounter any reboots, while sometimes it just shuts down while writing an e-mail.I've noticed that it tends to reboot most when it's first booting up after being left off for a relatively longer time. (like a day)
It resets at an average of 2 times per week.I've been having this problem for like 3 weeks.
Nothing out of order while using it,it performs just as it should.

I'm not sure what to suspect.I've done virus scans and found nothing. Here are my system specs:

i7 860 CPU
Asus P7P55d Deluxe motherboard
Asus GTX 470
4gb Corsair RAM (2 x 2)
500GB WD HDD
Thermaltake Toughpower 700W PSU
Windows 7 64-bit

Nothing is overclocked, everything at factory settings.
Thanks in advance.

I've had an older system (built FEB 2008) that had similar issues over its life, most prominently diagnosed by random restarts without error messages, no STOP messages, nothing. The first time (mid 2011) it turned out to be bad Memory chips. Try running Memtest86 (or whatever it is now) and see if you have bad memory. The second time, was a bad video card, specifically bad VRM off the PCI express power, and usually occurred during intense gaming sessions (CIV5 was the worst offender). Sadly, BFG's lifetime warranty was no good since the company closed down so I had to buy a new one. The third time, it was the power supply. The 12V rail, over time, was dropping to 11.566V, which was enough to cause instability. I removed the modest overclock on the CPU which corrected it for a while, but ultimately, I had to replace the power supply. The fourth time, also coupled with random "ERROR:DXIAG DEVICE REMOVED" errors in certain DX11 games, turned out to be NVIDIA's latest drivers. Reverting to older (I forget the number, but the ones from March 2013) drivers fixed the issue, although I also got an RMA for a new video card anyway.

So, you have a few things to look at. It could also be the motherboard itself is just going. I suspected that of mine at first, and was able to rule it out. Good luck troubleshooting!
