I currently have an i5 3550 @3.9ghz and i have two 670 gtx in sli.
I was just wondering if my cpu is bottlenecking my gpu in anyway... thanks for any input!

No I think you will be fine with that CPU. I have a GTX 670 SLI setup with my i5 3570K and it works great.

It might slightly in certain games. For example, my stock 3570k had 2 cores at 100% in Crysis 3 while my gpus were used about 90% each. That's the only game where my cpu has held me back though.

ok thanks! but that kinda leads me to another question, my 2 gpu's usage % while playing crysis3 and other games ranged from 85~98% constantly changing (sometimes staying around 95% area but never staying @ 99% usage) is this normal? do i have a faulty gpu?

That's normal. You will very rarely, if ever, see 100% usage. Also, my second gpu is always a couple percent lower usage than the first. As long as the usage gets to ~95% then they are being usage correctly.
