I have owned both an ASUS and MSI motherboard and both worked great. I am currently using MSI and I really like the bios you can use your mouse with it and it makes over clocking a breeze. Haven't used ASUS in a while so I don't know how their newer bios versions compare. I'm sure either way will be fine so go with what ever makes financial sense.
