I have a BIG case I am thinking about adding a second system to it has anyone seen a 5.25 Sized NAS device I would like to have a internal solution to share data between the two system.

Just being a Geek what can I say.

P.S. I could do a Cross Over Cable from the one of the on Board Nic's but a Bay Mounted NAS sounded cool.

No, but you could always be the first to design and create one.

Really, what you're suggesting is a hard drive in a 5.25 bay in an already existing system that has two NICs, one set up for the desktop and another that outputs media. Whatever computer you have, if it's new-ish, can handle whatever it is you want it to handle as well as stream media as long as you have a separate hard drive and NIC.

I understand that my computers can pretty much launch the space shuttle asn play Eq but I am all about the cool factor in this build and I thought a internal Private NAS to share Info would be cool. the Cas is just about big enough to hold both system and a keg-a-rator (hummmm naaa beer and computers don't mix)
I could just toss an extra nic in each system give them static Ip's and set up a private share over a cross over cable I just though an internal NAS would have some WOW factor at the next LAN party.

I have seen just about everything you can think of shoved in a 5.25 bay figured it was worth asking.

I have looked at everything from a Simple cross over cable to a dual attached E-sata Nas box, I have a need to share data between my two system but not share that data to my whole house don't really want to set up access controlls I like Windows File sharing off at all times, I just it would be cool to have a Nas mounted in my PC just to share files one of those things I think off waiting for sleep to embrace me.

No, a system within a system would just mean more cooling and more potential issues than the additional hard drive/NIC idea. I would be more concerned for your system's health than wowed by the design concept.

Maybe if I explained my warped reasoning it would make since
My new computer has 3x Water cooled GTX 780’s my old computer has dual GTX 460’s my old system is hooked to my telecine machine and normally running in auto mode converting old home movies with frame by frame scanning which takes a long time(~ 2 hours per 50 Foot reel) once converted into RAW format I would like to apply the filters on my new machine as it is significantly faster but I don’t want it tied up full time converting. So on nearly daily bases I have need to move TB’s from my old machine to my new machine where I do the processing, once that is done I move it back to my Old Machine where I have the bulk of my storage (2 hours of 8mm Video is over 5gb and I have 800+ 15 minute Movies from my youth that I am converting I am keeping the filter corrected / cleaned and color adjusted raw’s then burning them to DVD and Blu-ray for family, the processing of 1 300’ reel ties my old system up for 12+ hours my new system does it in under 2 even with copy time both ways it is faster.
As I have never really cared for my old computer case I purchased an Extended Ascension from Mountain Mods for 80 bucks I can get a new Dually tray and mount both systems in one box saving space cooling isn’t an issue., I just need a very fast way to share Tb of data back and forth.
