Hello Tom's Hardware, and thank you for reading.

I have been having trouble with my network card for a very long time now. Every time my computer wakes up from sleep, I have to unplug and replug my wireless usb network card. I am running windows 7 64 bit, am using the latest drivers, and am staying updated. Using an ASUS motherboard also.

I have already tried to uninstall the device and re install drivers of all types but to no avail. Also, it hasn't always been this way, but I cannot recall what hardware/software change I made prior to this behavior (if any).

So please help me with all your wisdom. Thank you!

Well, reddit answered my plight much quicker than this forum. No offense to anyone, I understand that beggars shouldn't be choosers, but if you have a computer issue try posting on multiple sites. If you're interested, this is what was told to me:

Try disabling the USB power management:
Open the Control Panel
Find Power Options
Click on Change Power Plan/Settings
Click Advanced Power Settings
Find USB Settings - disable both boxes here.
Save and close
Go to Device Manager (RMC MY computer -> Manage -> Device Manager)
Find the first listed USB Root Hub.
Double click and go to the power management tab.
Uncheck both boxes here
Repeat for each additional USB Root Hub they have.
Reboot when all are completed.

...and it fixed it. Thanks again reddit!
