GPU seems to be slacking off

First time user here and id love to get an answer for my question! I love the game League of Legends and i used to be able to play it on max settings with 40+ FPS. Recently I've noticed a drop in fps where i cant even get above 25 FPS with max settings and on the lowest settings it will drop below 10 sometimes, which is unacceptable for a game that requires so little GPU power. I have an Acer Aspire 7750g-6857 with an i5-2450m processor and an AMD Radeon HD 6650M 1GB GPU. I would like to know if any of you have had this problem and how you fixed it. Thanks for any answers!

The first thing you should check is your power settings and make sure it is set to high performance. If that is set, your game might be running on your integrated graphics, causing the slow down. To fix this, open your catalyst control center and make sure league is set to run on your discrete card. Good Luck!
