Will a vengeance blue and vengeance black 4gb stick run in dual channel?

I already have the vengeance blue in my system, but am wondering if buying a vengeance black from Scan will give me the benefits of dual channel? I'm not sure if the serial numbers need to be the same etc.

Thank you for taking the time to answer this!

Solution
If they will play nice and run together then yes, they will run in dual channel mode in the correct slots...keep in mind there is a possibility that A) they may need adjustments to timings or voltages to play nice, and B) they may not play together at all....mixing sticks from different packages is never a good idea
If they run, they will run in dual channel as long as they are seated in the correct sockets.

The caveat though is that Corsair Vengeance Blue DIMMs are sometimes tuned for higher performance than equivalent capacity Corsair Vengeance Black DIMMs. Your system's memory controller will run them at the slowest common speed, which will most likely be the standard profile on the Corsair Vengeance Black DIMM. To remedy this, buy a second identical Corsair Vengeance Blue DIMM instead.

Okay guys, thanks for your answers. I'll just stick with the Vengeance Blue when I do buy another stick. Will save the hassle of having to return or change settings etc. I don't think I'd have a problem with running dual channel as my mobo only has 2 RAM slots, which are dual channel slots.

Thanks!
