i5 4670k @ 4.5Ghz | AsRock z87 Extreme 3 | Gigabyte Windforce GTX 770 | Corsair Vengence 1600Mhz 2x4GB | Samsung 840 120 GB | 1TB WD HDD | Asus VG248QE | Windows 7 | Anker 8000 DPI mouse | Logitech G105 keyboard | Corsair 300R | Silencer Mk III 750W / Evo 212

This is my setup, It runs VERY cool, with the CPU hitting 60-70C under full load and the GPU hitting around 70C. I think i got lucky on the CPU chip :)

However, i can only hit a 7.7 on windows scores. Now i know that isn't very important as i don't need muti threading for gaming, and i won't need more than 8 GB of RAM. I can get a 7.9 easily on everything expect RAM and CPU, i was wondering what CPU + RAM setup you actually need to achieve a perfect score of 7.9?

Solution
An 8-core processor and 16GB of RAM. My 8320 gets an 8.1 and my RAM gets a solid 8 on (Ironically enough) Windows 8. I'm on vacation and only have my lappie, so don't expect a pic for another month if you want any.

The ram score is affected by the cpu, since it's calculations per sec. Ram was 7.8 when cpu is stock but is 7.9 with any cpu oc 4ghz+; 8gb 1600 cl 8. You can just google, not even 3930k at 4.8ghz can get 7.9 nor can dual 6 core xeons. Only oc 5+ghz were seen with 7.9. I get 7.7 in w7, 8.9 in w8 so there is no way your 8.1 in w8 will get 7.9 in w7.

And then of course you could change the text file and change your scores to over 9000.
