I am looking for a device that helps:
1. use in hotel/office rooms wire port and thereby making the local area wi fi enabled
2. use on 3g/4G chip provided by operator
3. has USB port where 3G/4G dongle can also be used
4. Has battery for using on road/car and has decent battery life
5. compact
6. can connect mac/pc/ipad/iphone and atleast 10 devices

Its not that simple when it comes to broadband cell wireless. It is getting more and more standard but you still need to read the fine print as to what exact dongles you can attach to the routers. Some cell vendors intentionally prevent you from using a router and others just have not released the information needed for the router manufacture to write the correct driver. So which provider of network service will greatly affect your choice in routers.
