As the title says, is the Corsair AX860 Enough for 2 7970 Matrix Platinums? Im going to get an 8350 and ill be OC it probably a lot at least to 4.7. I also have a Kraken X60 to cool it, and about 4 fans. Is the AX860 enough for all of that and possibly an nzxt hue led strip? I was thinking of getting a 1000w Psu but theres so many choices. If you have any recommendations, id refer a modular one and 80+ Gold. Anything under 220$ for the psu, id be willing to squeeze in a little more. My color scheme is Red and Black mostly, and these cards have the stupid leds that change depending on how much stress the card is in. If anyone knows how to change that it will be extremely helpful. Thanks!

My 3960x (heavily overclocked) + 2 x 7970s (slightly overclocked) draw about 800 VA from my UPS. The Corsair AX850 is probably enough and is based on the Seasonic X series of PSUs. I'd recommend the same platform, but something a little bit bigger.

This is one of the best enthusiast PSUs on the market. I use the slighly beefier X-1250 and swear by it.

If you want something that's a bit more expensive and a bit more awesome, check out the SeaSonic Platinum-1000. 80Plus Platinum rated with extremely tight voltage regulation.

Hi - A quality 850-860w unit will run that system and allow you to OC. However, if
you like having the xtra headroom that a 1khw unit provides, then this is an outstanding deal:

XFX platinum - full modular 1000w for under $200.

Since it won't have to work as hard as an 850, then you should experience less
heat and fan noise.
