I have a asrock n68c-gs fx board with a phenom II x2 550 cpu and i want to upgrade to the fx-6300 (is the best cpu that this board can handle) the problem is the 6300 requires a 1.30 bios version and I have the 1.00. So my question is i have to update the bios before or after installing the new CPU?? or i can install the CPU without even update the BIOS??. Thanks for the help and sorry for my english

Update the BIOS before you take out the Phenom. Then, your BIOS will be ready to accept the FX once you plug it in.
