Hey guys can you answer a simple question to me please? I want to know if my system :

Amd Athlon 64 3000+ 1,81GHZ 1,4V SOCKET 939
1,5GB DDR1 RAM 200MHZ
Asus A8N5X nForce4 Chipset with PCI-E SLOT X16 (PCI-EXPRESS)
350W PSU

Work with this graphic card?

Aka Nvidia GeForce GT 610 1GB GDD3 64BIT WITH PCI-E .

Or if you know a better GPU than this which i can buy im all ears. But not overpriced!

Thanks.

It will work i think, 'cause your motherboard does have PCI-e and so does your graphics card. Your power supply will have no problem handling a GT 610 i think, depends on what brand it is. Do remember that a GT 610 is not a great card, but it will do fine with just browsing, watching videos etc. I used to have an 210, and that works fine for me too.

Is it better than Nvidia 8600GS that I have now? I want to change the gpu because the one i have right now its almost dead.(I`ve experienced 2 pc freezes full of artifacts and I was forced to reinstall the drivers and wait the gpu to cool down so I can play again)-->It happens only when I play serious sam HD.

It is better, but not worth an upgrade. If i were you, i would be looking at a GT 630. Or get a used GT 440. These are much better in gaming than a 610. You could also look at a HD 6670, i think they are quite good for their price. (price/performance ratio)
