Hi.
I'm at a loss folks. I've Google searched for this mishap and, after trying everything posted on the many sites, have had no luck.

Here's the situation:
A friend of mine have a problematic SD-card that he want to extract files from (really important photos for him). He gave me the card after he failed to do so.

My laptop is Samsung NP-430Q, with a slot for SD-cards.
When I insert the card in, nothing happened, except of the "insertion" bip. No instance of the card in "My Computer" screen, so I could work with it.
All the rescue programs I've tried
- as for example: TestDrive- failed to recognized the card as well.
When I open Device Manager - it shows the device listed under Disk Drives as a "Disk Drive", and that's all about it.

I tried to locate the drive under Disk Management, to check maybe it's bad partition or so, but - Disk management doesn't show the drive at all.
I tried through "Devices and Printers", there I've got "Mass Storage Device" as the card:
devices%20and%20printers.PNG

As I click on Properties, I got this:
devices%20and%20printers%20-%20properties.PNG

And at "Volumes" tab, as I tried to click "Populate" I've got this:
devices%20and%20printers%20-%20properties2.PNG

Is there's any way I can get to this card?

Thanks!

As you have already mentioned problematic, it could be damaged or something. Try putting it into a mobile and see if it works.
It could be that the card had some lock type of security. I was able to use it on my mobile. See if it works.
Or it could be damaged.

Well, I tried to insert it into a camera, and as soon as I turned the camera on, it says "Please insert SD-Card again".
Is this mean that that's it? The card is corrupted, and there's nothing to do to fix it?
