I need help building a custom PC for under $1000. I want it to be an Intel build with support for sli. Any graphics card above GTX 650 ti is appreciated. I'm planing on using the computer for playing BF4 at atleast 65 frames per second, and I would like to play DayZ with a good frame rate as well. I would appreciate if the build was quiet and cool.

Budget Range: ~$1000

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming (BF4, Watchdogs, PayDay 2, ArmA 2, ArmA 3) > Multimedia/Movies > Web Browsing

Parts Not Required: Mouse, Keyboard, Speakers, Monitor

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Amazon.ca (i will also buy from a local store where its cheaper)

Country of Origin: Canada (Edmonton, Alberta)

Parts Preferences: Intel CPU

Overclocking: Yes

SLI or Crossfire: Yes

Monitor Resolution: 1600 x 900

Additional Comments: If I could get discounts that would be great.

Hello!

OP, a few quick questions before we begin.

Will you need OS?

Do you want Crossfire/SLI right now, or just the option to upgrade to it later? It will be difficult to build something with SLI/Crossfire for $1000 that wouldn't be inferior to a single card solution. Just something to think about.

How much are you willing to spend on a case?

How much storage would you see yourself using, and do you want a boot drive? If so, do you want something that will only seat your OS, or something that you would be able to put a few things on?

Once you answer these we will get into the building process!

Hello again,

I went ahead and made a sort of guideline build that we can refer to:

PCPartPicker part list: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1mg9x
Price breakdown by merchant: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1mg9x/by_merchant/

CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($199.99 @ Microcenter)
Motherboard: ASRock Z87 Extreme4 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($149.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($64.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($84.98 @ Outlet PC)
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 760 2GB Video Card ($259.99 @ Amazon)
Case: Corsair C70 Gunmetal Black (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case ($79.99 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: Corsair Enthusiast 750W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply ($89.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $969.92
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)
(Generated by PCPartPicker 2013-07-30 06:43 EDT-0400)

EDIT: This build is currently listed at USD $996.92 before MIR. I went ahead and chose an USD $99.99 case as I think this will give you room to move up or down for the case price, if you'd like.

Will you need OS? Yes, preferably Windows 7

Do you want Crossfire/SLI right now, or just the option to upgrade to it later? Sorry I forgot to mention this in the thread, but I will be adding the second card later (I just need the option to upgrade later)

How much are you willing to spend on a case? $50-$70

How much storage would you see yourself using, and do you want a boot drive? 1 TB would be great, and yes I would like a boot drive.
Thanks :)

Hello Pete!

I will go ahead and build you something through Amazon, but I will have to link you the parts separately which will get a little messy.

Also, I see you forgot to mention what resolution your monitor will be using. I'm going to assume you are using 1920x1080 resolution!

It simply will not get much better than this.
I would definitely suggest going EVGA over PNY, but I have been unable to find an EVGA card that matches the PNY for the same price. Total price of this build comes out to USD $1011.83.
