24" gaming monitor for under £200?

Hello! I have been looking for a gaming monitor for this set up for a while now: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/prolip/saved/1YjH
There are a lot of nice Asus and Benq ones but I'm still undecided. I have been thinking about these 2;
http://www.amazon.co.uk/ASUS-VE247H-Widescreen-Intelligence-Technology/dp/B004T2LMP2/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1375182060&sr=8-2&keywords=asus+247h

http://www.amazon.co.uk/BenQ-GL2450HM-Widescreen-Multimedia-Monitor/dp/B005OPLG0O/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1375182134&sr=1-1&keywords=benq+gl2450hm

These are just two that have cought my eye, I'm not sure if they're the best for my budget though. 120Hz would be nice but I don't think I can afford it and still get good response time and contrast etc. Could you please suggest some nice monitors for gaming within the £200 budget? I'm buying in the UK.

    Both of those monitor's a great options - but I would personally prefer an IPS panel instead, due to the brighter colours and wider viewing angles. This is a great option and is a great price, too: http://www.amazon.co.uk/LG-24EA53VQ-inch-Widescreen-Monitor/dp/B00BSOT2LA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1375182650&sr=8-1&keywords=ips+24
    Has a 5ms response time, but the difference between 2ms and 5ms is so small that you won't notice it. :)
  2. I know this is over budget by GBP 27.99, but you only live once - here's a great monitor

  3. Hmm I have to say the LG does look like a very good option. And while we are on the subject, what is the difference between IPS and non-IPS monitors?

    Couldn't find many good comparison pictures, but this is a good one: http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8217/8282069521_85330060b8_z.jpg

    Pretty much with an IPS panel you get richer colours and a wider viewing angle whilst sacrificing the low response times on a TN panel, but as I said, you won't notice it. :)
  5. Oh wow! That really seems like a huge difference!I have now decided and will go with the LG. Thanks!
