best motherboard for gaming and overclocking

Looking for a great motherboard for gaming and overclocking also would like good audio and am planning on using two gtx 780 and want them running both at x16 pci. Price around £200

Was told to get ASRock Z87 Extreme6 ATX LGA1150 any ideas? :)

They both have an onboard amplifier, SLI support, although it isn't dual 16x only 16x/8x when you run in SLI, but it should work nevertheless. It was really hard to find only these two which are within your budget. If you were to do some more searching I'm sure you'll find one that suits you perfectly.

M5 cant be overclocked tho? Can it.. what about the gigabyte GA-Z87X-OC

I haven't researched this in depth. But I recall recently reading some AMD CPUs and Boards with the 990FX chipset have the ability to run 2 cards in X16 mode and up to 4 in x8 mode.

I want to say FX 8350 and a Gigabyte GA990FXA-UD3 were mentioned in the article. Bus as I said, not 100% certain on this. You may want to do a little digging.

Update: Checked and yes the 990FX chipset supports 2 cards at x16.

Also, if you plan to do primarily gaming, a lot of reviewers are recommending an AMD setup as a great way to go now. There's little to no performance difference in gaming and you will likely save yourself some money to put into better GFX or cooling for the OC.

thinking off sticking with intel man thanks tho, they are a better like. also think i might get the GA-Z87X-OC am ordering on thurs so time to get the research in lol
