I just reinstalled windows 8 and windows 8.1 preview in order to enable AHCI mode in the hard drives.Do not ask why I did that.
I have 3 hard drivers.I use a 500gb drive for windows 8 and games,a 180gb drive for second OS and I have a third hard drive with 80gb storage.I use it to store data and downloaded files and programs.Since I reinstalled the OS,windows cannot detect the 80gb hard drive. It is not malfunctioning because the BIOS detects it.Only windows doesnt. Before, the hard drives were running in IDE mode.

Run diskmgmt.msc and see if the drive is listed there. If it is, it likely needs reinitialized. Doing so will result in the loss of data on the drive.

If you need data off the drive, I suggest booting into a recovery environment (such as Parted Magic, http://partedmagic.com/doku.php?id=start) and transferring the files to another drive.

On disk management I can see the drive. It says healthy, active and primary partition.Thats weird because this drive is completely empty...I formatted it the first time I installed windows 8 and haven't used ever since (8 months ago)Can you tell me how to reinitialize it?
By the way,you earned yourself a best answer.

Just right click on the disk. If it says healthy, active, primary then it may have already been initialized. Once it has been initialized, right clicking again will give the option to create a new simple volume. Select this and follow the wizard. It will give you the options available for your drive, though usually the defaults are fine.

And thanks for best answer btw.

You said I can create a new simple volume.I can explore every drive but I cannot this one and when I right click there is no create volume.Just shrink. Please help me.There is nothing to select and then follow the wizard (gandalf is probably the wizard I have to follow)
