A question about bottleneck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When i play intensive games and set it to max,the gpu usage is 99% in all games.I want to know if there is bottleneck or not?



CPU: i7 3770k

GPU:Asus gtx 680 direct cuII top

I use evga precision x.

if your gpu reaches %99 usage this means the GPU is not bottlenecked at all... which means when system needs it can run at full speed.
bottleneck actually means that even if your system is in need of resources and gpu is laying low around 40-50% (this percentage is totally relative and dependant) this means it is bottlenecked. you are good to go.
and by the way, 3770K is able run any kind of gpu setup at full speed (for quite some more time in future too) dont be worried.

99% is good, I'd only ever be concerned if it was hitting below 90%, even though that's not a drastic bottle neck it still means there's some pull back on card usage which if your a performance junkie your not going to want.

Overclock the CPU? buy a better one?

Didn't you say you had a 3770K? that should be more than good enough?

Are you using MSI Afterburner to measure GPU usage?

Also use FRAPs during a game, if your fps are hitting over 60fps and higher I seriously wouldn't worry about it.
