If you can get this ......

GTX 660 Ti - $215
http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-video-card-gtx660tidc2o2gd5

FX 6300 - $109
http://pcpartpicker.com/part/amd-cpu-fd6300wmhkbox

Total $325

You'll be so much better off with this set up, this is much better than the i3 you mentioned.
You'll need an AM3+ Motherboard instead of the z77 though, the problem with Intel is that all the CPU's worth getting are practically $200+.
You need a good GPU though otherwise your system won't be able to display games properly if you can get a 660 ti your sorted, if you can't find one within the price I listed then go for a 7870, you should be able to find that.

What's your budget for the GPU and what do you hope to achieve?

An i5 3570K and HD 7770 do not go well as far as performance compatibility.

The i5 is a top notch gaming CPU and the HD 7770 is a very budget orientated GPU however once again it depends on your needs.

Mine need is gaming. i want to be able to play the games like arkham city, cod, far cry3,bf3,nfs run etc.in high settings. I am having difficulty in selection. i went with powerful cpu as in i think in future i may upgrader my gpu... but i3 is also good i guess...
what do you suggest?? powerful gpu or cpu? can't have both... too costly...
my gpu budget is around $140-150(8000/-INR)... thankx in advance

Well you've got the right CPU for it, its difficult because you can't say CPU or GPU as they both matter and one fuels the other in a sense.

So if you are going to go with the i5 then I suggest you stretch to $10 more and get this ......... (actually at a very decent price here)

Its a decent pairing.

You could change tact and go for an FX 6350 and get an even better GPU but this all comes down to the make up of the game i.e CPU heavy or not.

Shogun II and Rome II for e.g is what I'm building for and they are CPU heavy so I'm going for an i5-4670k.

actually i can't increase my budget anymore... that's why i've selected this build..
but would my current config allow me to play the current games like black ops2,arkham origins, gta 4,nfs run, most wanted etc. at high settings??
cause after a long time i have finalised this... and could you tell me if there is any compatibility issue with gpu-mobo or cpu-mobo or the mobo-case or the mobo-gpu-cpu-case-psu??
If there is any please let me know... cause i'm thinking of finalizing this build... what do you say??
Thankx

I say if your talking an i5-3570k and a HD 7770 you will NOT be able to play High to Ultra settings on those games.

The card is not good enough, you at the very least need a HD 7850 2GB if your intending on keeping the i5.

You may even be better off ditching the i5 for a FX 6350 and buying a better GPU like a GTX 760.

Yeah thats what i said too, maybe even safe the 20 bucks and get the fx6300 and overclock it yourself. You'll defenetly need a better GPU than the hd7770, at least a hd7870/gtx660

Hey there, i have changed my config as you said, but still need a little help..
i've changed my processor from i5 to i3 and gpu from 7770 to hd 7850.. what do you think of this??
and in here i'm having problem to select these parts..
in i3 i have 2 options -Intel Core i3-2100T or Intel i3 3220
and in 7850 i've chosen 2gb. and also there is oc edition.
but would i require an oc edition with this config. ,and i heard the oc edition has a little problem??
what do you say...??

The overclock edition has no problems at all I know because I'm running one and yes its great because I can overclock to a stock 7870.

If you tell me in either $$$ what your total CPU + GPU budget is together max I'll pick you out the best two components because you can do better than the i3 for that money.

The i3 is only dual cores I'd get a FX 6300 or even better 6350 are stronger CPU's.
