I'm going off to college this year so it seems like the perfect time to upgrade. This is my current system:

CPU: Intel Q6700 2.66GHz
Mobo: Intel DP35DP http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/dp35dp/sb/CS-029386.htm
RAM: 4 GB DDR2 800MHz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260 (896MB dedicated VRAM)
Harddisk: Seagate Barracuda ST3320620AS
PSU: I would love to tell you, but my case side-cover is jammed. I don't think its vital information right now anyway.

This is my upgrade plan (Changes in green):

CPU: Intel Q6700 2.66GHz
Mobo: Intel DP35DP http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/dp35dp/sb/CS-029386.htm
RAM: 4 GB DDR2 800MHz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 660Ti/670/680 (as budget permits)
Harddisk: SSD (something around 80GB because that's all I'll need)
PSU: Changed if needed.

What I need help with is determining whether my non-upgraded parts will bottleneck my upgrades. Any suggestions are also welcome. My total upgrade budget is $500.

If this is in no way salvageable, I'll be forced to spend more on a brand new rig. Sorry if I missed anything vital. This is my first time asking about my rig.

I think upgrading video card like that wouldn't be the best idea because your CPU and PSU (probably) will bottleneck your card performance.
You only have a 4GB ram 800MHz.

If you're going to have that upgrade you need at least 600w psu.

I would suggest that you just save up more bucks and get a full upgrade.
