Hi, 1st off I'm not sure if i am posting this in the right forum and apologies if this is the wrong spot.

OK. on to business. I currently have an older setup its an 2008 xps 630i running a q6600 2.4ghz processor, Radeon HD 7850 2gig video card(will be using this card still due to my budget), some no name motherboard from dell, 750w power supply. Nothing to fancy for whats out today. I want to order new mobo, proc, and memory. I've come up with Intel Core i5-3570K 3.4GHz Quad-Core, ASRock Z77 Extreme4 LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard, Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800). If anyone has any knowledge on expanding the xps 630i case and could tell me if i am going to run into any issues with this build? I'm on $500 budget and these components i have listed look to be best bang for my buck.

This "No-name Dell motherboard" is your key to the future.
Check the service manual http://www.dell.com/support/Manuals/us/en/19/Product/xp.... It seems quite standard ATX board (not a BTX system they are using on other models), but you better check that connectors setup is the same.

There are 2 problems, first Dell Windows would not work on non Dell motherboard, so you would have to buy Retail Windows and second, Dell case has most likely proprietary on/off front panel switch connector, which could not work with non XPS 630i motherboard, so new case is recommended as well...
