Hi all,

I am a newbie to electronics and rather than buying a new keyboard/mouse I'd like to try to fix my transceiver that I stupidly walked into and broke - hopefully using some basic soldering equipment. I will post some pictures of what I have in a moment.

Hope it's possible to get it fixed? I can't see where it might need soldering? Maybe its just dead? What do you think?

Thanks all,
Kevin

You should be able to solder the edges if you can get the pins to line up on the plastic spacer correctly inside the metal usb connector. Maybe super glue the pins to the plastic part inside the connector.
Keep in mind that the entire out side metal connector is the ground. So if any pins or wires touch the metal outside it will short out.

I would get a usb cable and cut it with about 1/2inch of wire. Then you can solder the wires to the board, and tape it up.
