Does Windows 8 run steam well?

I've been running Steam on Windows 8 with no issues.

It wouldn't run it any different than Windows 7. The operating system's programming is virtually the same, it just looks different aesthetically.

steam works perfectly fine on windows 8.

WTF are you talking about it runs fine people. I am running a brand new Windows 8 install without 8.1 preview. Installed the steam client from 7, nothing with user ID and password. Tried steam tile and public ID, nothing. Logged onto Steam from my wife's 7 setup I have yet to change just fine. What am I doing wrong. My specs are
Core I7 Gen 3
16 GB Ram
MSI MB for Core I7, I know it has nothing to do with this as I used the same system for 7 Logon
256 GB Crucial SSD
Am I really this stupid?????
Please tell me I am not.
If I am I have a lot to tell CTU online about, lol....

grab the installer and fresh install steam rather than just using the version you already have on a HDD.

just install the client over the top of the old one.
