Hey,

So I’m a first time PC builder and I want a decent gaming computer for around a $1,000. I have done a little research into what I want but I also want to make sure all my components were compatible with each other. Any advice and changes I should make to my build feel free to let me know.

Thanks

Motherboard: MSI Z87M-G43 Intel Z87 LGA 1150 $100
CPU: Intel Core i5-4670k $223
Graphics Card: EVGA GeForce GTX760 $250
Power Supply: Raidmax Hybrid 730W ATX12V $65
SSD: SanDisk Ultra Plus SSD 256 GB $170
Drive: WD Blue 1 TB Desktop Hard Drive $63
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8 GB DDR3 1600 $70
CPU Cooler: Maybe
Fans: Corsair SP Quiet fans $30
Optical Drive: Samsung Internal IDE $20
Case Tower: Cooler Master CM Storm Scout II $79
Total: $1070

Solution
Looks great - you need a better-quality PSU, though. A good 80plus Bronze 500-600w one from Antec, Rosewill, Corsair, XFX, or best - Seasonic.

And don't worry about a CPU cooler yet - that i5 is plenty strong for games at stock speeds. Definitely later, though.
