Upgraded to SSD but performance is SLOW

Hi I'd appreciate an tips here:

I recently put a Samsung pro 840 into my Acer Aspire and installed Windows 7 Home Premium. I made the TRIM and ACHI tweaks but performance is still very slow.

Windows loads super fast, but anything else - opening programs, surfing web is very slow.

What am I missing?!

The SSD is only going to increase your boot time, transfering files, basically stuff the relies on the HDD. It is not going to increase your web surfing (if your cpu is bottlenecking).

Need to know your computers components to help you more.

I will have to research the components. I'm a novice here. The laptop is an acer aspire 722-0022 p1ve6

I don't think it supports SATA III.

But still, it's not that the speed on programs and web loading hasn't gotten faster its that it is actually slower now, than with the original HDD.
