If you could choose between the below with the view of SLI'ing in a few months which of the below would you pick.

The aim it to be able to play games on a 1440 Monitor at the highest possible setting.

That's quite a range of prices. My philosophy is go big or go home. If you can afford a GTX 780, why not get one? I know many would say the 780's performance does not justify its price, but I choose to look at it as the GTX 780 giving you GTX Titan-level performance for cheap. I'd take that MSI Gaming version.

Other than that, the wisest choice with a good blend of price and performance is the GTX 770. It will do everything you want it to do. Again, being much less expensive than the EVGA card, I would choose the MSI Gaming version.

That is a rather wasteful philosophy. Technology is easily replaced and becomes cheaper as time progresses. There is no reason why anyone should spend excessively in the present for underutilized performance when a more economical build will provide the same utility and enable future upgrades to surpass any possible capacity of an exuberant build today.

Adding a 2nd 660 would probably be the most economical solution unless you can/will sell the existing 660. If you do plan on selling your existing card for a single card solution then a HD 7970 > GTX 770 > GTX 760 SLI would likely be the best options.

If you have the budget, one of the GTX780 cards would do the job best.
If you can find one, I would look at a EVGA superclocked GTX780 with the stock titan cooler

I was eyeballing that MSI one myself, the guy owes me a favour, reckon I'll get another €200 knocked of that price and I'd say I'll get around €150 for the 660 SC ( only been in the PC around 2wks ).

That'll leave it costing me another €158 or there abouts.

Prob best if I think about it for the next few days and not rush in.

Cheers.
