Fractal Design Define R4 Cooling Suggestions

Hello all!

I'm a first-time builder looking for a cooling solution for my R4.

I'm new at this so luckily my buddy from out of town is going to come down and help me put it together but I still need to purchase a CPU cooler + Case Fans for the cooling setup.

The friend that's helping me suggested

(1) I should avoid Liquid Cooling "because it's a hassle" and get a really nice HSF instead
(2) Replace all my stock fans with "higher quality" case fans

I'm looking to spend ~$125 ($175 max if it makes a huge difference) total for my cooling setup.

Any suggestions on how many/what type of Case Fans I need + CPU Cooler would be much appreciated :)

CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor
Motherboard: Asus Maximus VI Hero ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Storage: Samsung 840 Pro Series 256GB 2.5" SSD
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM
Video Card: EVGA SuperClocked 02G-P4-2765-KR GeForce GTX 760 2GB
Power Supply: SeaSonic 750W 80 PLUS Gold Certified ATX12V / EPS12V
Case: Fractal Design Define R4 (Black Pearl) ATX Mid Tower Case
Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer
Monitor: Asus VH238H 23.0" Monitor

*I plan to OC and use this primarily for gaming

the tried and tested CM Hyper 212 EVO is always a good choice and not very pricey at under $40

Nice build :D
All in one water cooling could be a good option, especially as the R4 has plenty of space for 240 rads.
I've heard that Akasa Apaches are good cheap fans.

Thanks for the input!

So something like a Corsair H50/H100i would be all I need to cool my rig? I won't need any additional case fans and/or cooling accessories?

I may be leaning towards the Water Cooling route if that's the case..

but I would still leave standard case fans in to move the air across your components and your graphics card especially

When you say standard case fans you mean the "stock" case fans right?

Yup, they will still give enough airflow to suffice
