as of right now my case has one fan that is connected to the only 3pin fan connector on the mobo. I would like to add another case fan but to do that i would need another 3pin on the mobo. could someone please help me find a splitter or something. Please! thank you!

Some fans come with a molex adapter as well that can be used to hook up the fan to the power suppy. The fan will run at full speed at that configuration, though.

There are such splitters, and you could run two fans. But the speed sensing will be off, and that s why you are using motherboard control in the forst place.
Just buy a case fan that has a molex connector and attach it directly to your psu.
