My CX600 I bought a bit more than a month ago, will occasionally make weird popping/squeaking noises at my mom's house. However, at my dad's, It has never made the sound. I tried different outlets and different surge protectors, but it still makes the noise regardless. Does anyone have any idea what may be causing this?

A popping sound, if not a lose coil or a blistered capacitor can be a sort somewhere in the electronics. Either way, you have a faulty component in there. Are you under warranty? Get it replaced!

If not, you might want to get it replaced anyway because a short or arc somewhere may put a bad load on one of your rails and cause damage to your computer. Everyone always talks about how important a good PSU is to your system's health. I don't think this PSU is in good shape anymore. :(

It doesn't really sound like coil whine, the best I could describe it is something like popcorn popping but much less frequent and much higher pitched.
