You need a modem for a phone line? Here is one for $12 http://www.amazon.com/TRENDnet-Internal-Data-Modem-TFM-...
And PCI-Express version for $13: http://www.amazon.com/Internal-Express-Receive-Computer...
(These are first hits on Amazon, I could not rate their quality, but I suspect that all of them are build around same chipset)

DSL is completely different from a phone line modem. I am not sure whether there are any internal DSL modems, but why you would need one? DSL modems are usually part of the service, and much more flexible. From the modem, you plucg Ethernet cable in your computer, or router.

Cheapest option at Amazon seems to be http://www.amazon.com/TP-Link-TD-8616-Bridge-Splitter-D....

there are internal pci dsl modems... however your dsl provider should also provide you with an external modem/router. some companies even specifically request that you only use their hardware. i would have a talk with your internet provider first to see if they provide one.

a phone modem (aka 56kmodem) is completely different and is for dial up service which does not provide a modem with its service contract.
