I run two MSI GTX660s SLI with this mobo. I've read a ton a mixed insight on the 4-pin molex "SLI/Crossfire pwr" plug. The manual is nearly worthless on the subject. Both of my cards worked fine without using the auxiliary power, but I have now plugged it in anyway. Haven't noticed a bit of difference... at all... matter of fact, I can't even tell if it's working. My BIOS says nothing about it, and the ASRock tuning utility I run in windows says nothing about it. How can I find out if this is even working.. getting any juice at all? Any thoughts?

Yep, it's a strange situation. I know my PSU is SLI ready (corsair AX850). So I guess they were getting plenty of power from that, just using the 6-pin PCI power connectors. I did run a bunch of benchmarks using Fraps, the MSI utilities, and the benchmark options built in to some games. For example, I ran the built in benchmark for the new 2013 tomb raider. With one GTX660, maxed out settings, my avg fps was 37. With SLI, it was 58. That number didn't change after plugging in the auxiliary power. So it definitely has me puzzled.. and just to be sure, you are supposed to simply plug into...

I only had a PSU 6-pin to sata cable, then used a male sata to female molex converter on the end of that for the mobo. Should work fine right?
