I recently built a new PC, but I was sent the wrong PSU.

First, here are my specs:

-Fractal Node 304
-AsRock z77e-itx
-i5-3570k
-Corsair Vengeance 2 x 4gb
-MSI GTX 770 N770 TF 2GD5/OC
-Samsung 840pro SSD 128gb

I received a SilverStone 550w 80gold certified power supply. Is it safe to install this, or should I get a more powerful one?
What wattage would you recommend?

Thanks.

A 550w should do the trick. It will cut it a little close, and you will have little headroom, but that's a pretty good PSU, and i think it will do just fine.

I wouldn't use it . it's underpowered.

It might run it , but you risk damage to your other components.

The XFX PSU actually costs less, and is a great quality PSU, so SR-71 is correct. Under load, the system would hit around 580W, so I was wrong.

Under load it should hit sub 500ish... but like the guys above said I'd rather be safe than sorry.

To answer your question directly yes it'll work but no we don't recommend it.
