Ok so basically I can only connect 3 fan headers into my mobo to control fans speed through AI Suite... I have 4 fans total though.. 1 in the front, 1 in the back, and 2 on the top.. I currently have the front and back fans connected into my monthboard (Chas 1 and 3) but is there anyway to connect both top fans into the 1 final chas 3 slot? So i can control both of them in AI suit (but it would come up in ai suite as 1 fan) ?

I'm guessing there would be an adapter of some sort? I'm not sure if that even exists so i decided to ask here

More about : connecting fans mobo header

Sure there is. There are tons of y-cables out there for that. Just get one for a few bucks and it will work.

BUT I would recommend connecting two fans of the same type/model using an y-cable, so they would have the same V->RPM properties.

Being sure to have two of the same type of fans connected to the same Y-cable is definitely important. A lot of manufacturers don't approve of Y-splitters, and many are offering two CPU 4-pin fan headers for this reason. (I am giving this as an example; I realize we're talking about chassis fans.) RPM and airflow dynamics aside, you want to use the same type of fan because, although most fans use 12V, not all fans operate using the same amperage.

Ok great! The fans i'm trying to use the y cable on are exactly the same, and are running at the same rpm!
