By stock you mean AMD reference model ?? then its fine you can use them without any problems. Some custom edition or non reference models like MSI HD 7870 TwinFrozr III , Gigabyte HD 7870 OC editions offers better cooling performance than the reference model one. Between GTX660 and HD7870, HD7870 is faster and has more overclocking headroom.
