Setting Up PC To Connect Downstairs

Hey,

I would like to know if it's possible to connect my upstairs PC to a downstairs TV using HDMI, without much noticeable lag.

To get a rough idea of the distance the data will be traveling from my PC to the TV, I'd say the HDMI cable would be around 15ft - 20ft.

Keep in mind here, that this would be for gaming. Will the lag affect the gaming experience to the point were it would not be enjoyable to play?

Another thing I would like to mention is that I plan to use a 360 controller with the official Microsoft wireless receiver. Is it possible to somehow have a USB hub downstairs connected to the PC upstairs, and the wireless receiver having a good chance of being fully powered whilst downstairs? Thanks.

The first one looks more like a B-Mini. But it's all the same data, just different plugs.

Second one seems to use a USB-B connector (the cable you linked up top).

Both should be fine.

FYI: A couple of extra feet of cable is a lot easier to deal with than a couple too few...

Thanks for the fast reply.

I've been looking around Amazon for USB hubs and have come across one I think may do the job.
Would this be okay?

And also would this be the right USB for the main USB connection from it to the PC?

Thanks.

Looking around for USB 2.0 hubs, I came across these two...
Option 1
Option 2

Option 1 appears to be a micro USB port/connection. Would that be okay for that sort of distance and data?
I'd most likely go with USB 2.0 aswell now.

Okay I'll probably work with that then, thanks for the help.
