Hey guys,

I'm building a new Haswell system and i am looking at which motherboard to choose...

I want to use a ssd as cache so it will definitely be a h87 or z87 chipset, tho i don't intend to oc my system.

Gigabyte mobos have gold plated socket, Asus ones have fast booting, Msi and Asrock are better value/price options...i really don't know which ones to choose :)

I would recommend the Asus H87-Pro. It has alot of features. but its not good overclocking and its the board for you. and it has Wifi and alot of features.

You just wasted some cash. He is not overclocking. Its no use to get a z87 Board if he picks a non-K Cpu.

if you pick a non-k CPU. Get a H87 Board. if you get a z87 with a non-k one. you cant use some features of the board.

My budget is around 100Euros for the motherboard, i will probably fit a i5-4670 cpu on it. Don't know if the k version will give me such a huge boost. I will use the pc mostly for games...

I was looking into the Asus H87-Pro but i didn't see it has Wifi, but it is otherwise a good motherboard.
If you have other opinions i will gladly take them into consideration.

The K version will give you overclocking ability. and a z87 board will be good.

Overclocking will give you from 0-20% performance increase from stock.
